The dollar menu rises in price at Milan fashion week 2014

Jeremy Scott, creative director at Italian fashion label Moschino, has taken the concept of fast-food and created a collection called "Fast Fashion".

McDonalds inspired pieces were seen all over the Milan Fashion Week runway. Scott sent down dresses and coats in McDonald’s vibrant yellow and red colour palette. These were accompanied by bags and sweaters crested with the infamous double arches (which played a double role as the Italian label’s logo).

The line came complete with accessories that make your stomach rumble: a french-fry phone cover, a soda cup purse and golden arch sunglasses.

Hungry for more? Scott incorporated other fast-food fashion with some sliced cheese prints (later donned by Rita Ora), a Froot Loops dress and a Budweiser ball-gown.

While fast food and high-fashion are not usually a likely pair, Scott has managed to make his witty collection a successful one. The designer was fast to release his collection; 10 items are now exclusively available at the UK's Browns.

Implications - Entrepreneurs shouldn’t be afraid to take a risk.

Jeremy Scott of Moschino did the unthinkable in the fashion world by mixing haute couture with a Big Mac. He took the inspiration of fast-food and applied a new concept of fast-fashion. In a society where products come and go in the blink of an eye, it is important to get your product out there before it’s replicated by others. Scott made his Capsule Collection available within hours of debuting on the runway.

Not only did the concept of fast food tie in with the labels turn around time, but with it’s logo. Surprisingly, the golden arches logo coincided with the "M" for Moschino perfectly.
