The FASHIONCLASH 2013 Project Has Fashion Outsiders Make Clothes

'FASHIONCLASH' 2013 is celebrating 'Five Years of CLASH' by inviting non-fashion designers to create wearable fashions. Since its founding five years ago, FASHIONCLASH has become a platform for designers of all disciplines to showcase their work. To celebrate all of these different art forms, FASHIONCLASH invited ten people from different professions like photographers, artists, illustrators and textile designers to create wearable works of art.

This year's creations include avant-garde garments that show interesting interpretations of each designer's perspective. For example, textile designer Wilderman by Hermine van Dijck created a look that mixes and matches various fabrics and textures with patchwork, and graphic designer Esther Noben's dress is made completely out of paper. It's interesting to see how these designers adapt these familiar materials into wearable fashions.
