Chrysler Equipped its Pacifica with the 'Fam Cam' for Busy Drivers

The Chrysler Pacifica boasts a valuable new feature for parents and busy drivers, titled the 'Fam Cam.' This is a roof-mounted circular camera located in between the second and third rows of seats in the vehicle. The main draw of the Fam Cam is that it allows parents to monitor their children, or particularly their babies sitting in rear-facing baby seats, without needing awkwardly-placed mirrors. Additionally, the baby mirror solution requires an illuminated cabin, which is often uncomfortable for the driver and the children alike.

The Fam Cam, though, features a night vision mode that allows for monitoring of babies even in dark driving conditions. This camera's feed is visible seamlessly through the Chrysler Pacifica's infotainment system, meaning drivers do not need to turn their heads far to check on their children.
