Anti-War Whistleblowers (UPDATE)

The Falling Whistles Company Aims to Help Congo Through Activism

The Falling Whistles company is an organization that was formed by Sean Carasso, who after traveling to Congo on a humanitarian aid mission, became horrified at the plight of children who, although barely teenagers, were hardened and trained killers.

The Falling Whistles company aims to help eradicate child war involvement by providing economic support directly to Congolese community leaders, through donations and the proceeds of whistles and posters sold through the company's website.

Every single penny that goes through the Falling Whistles company's doors ends up helping 267 war-affected children in northeast Congo, or is reinvested in helping the company develop products.

The situation in Congo is so dangerous that the business is not able to publicly name any of the Congolese organizations they are working with for fear of reprisal.

The situation in Congo is so dangerous that Falling Whistles is unable to publicly name the first Congolese organization that they worked with due to the conflict, however, other partners can be found on their website.

As a part of their company information package, Falling Whistles writes, "We are a growing coalition of whistleblowers. We don’t have all the answers, but we know that speaking up is usually the first."

Thanks to their poster and whistle sales, Falling Whistles is making the previously impossible task of bringing peace to Congo seem hopeful.
