Eva Valicsek Makes Conventional Containers 'Eggciting'

If you're sick and tired of looking at the same old egg cartons commonly found in your local grocery stores, Eva Valicsek's new egg carton design is sure to brighten up your day.

Eva Valicsek is a student at the Institute of Applied Arts, Sopron and her minimalist egg carton design secures eggs in containers while using very little extra material. The design uses corrugated cardboard that's been folded in an accordian-like manner and the eggs are held in place by an elastic band. My only concern, of course, would be that the rubber band snaps and all the eggs could potentially be destroyed. But you can't make an omelet, or in this case a newly designed egg carton, if you're unwilling to break a few eggs.
