Psychedelic Bacteria Photography

Eshel Ben-Jacob has Created Eerie Photos Capturing Bacteria

As a psychics professor, Eshel Ben-Jacob knows all about the dangers that can arise as a result of bacteria. He wanted to document what it looks like, so that others can see them as well.

Bacteria is on every surface that we touch, however, they are so small that they are impossible to be seen. Even under a microscope, it is difficult to really make out what they look like. Ben-Jacob has used dye, and injected it into live colonies of bacteria.

The result of his work is incredible. It has created intricate, psychedelic artwork that doesn't look like culprit for why we get sick. Eshel Ben-Jacob has made bacteria not only look stunning, but it has also become tangible. He has shown the general public what a culture of bacteria looks like, and he has also managed to make beautiful art.
