ecoLogicStudio Solves Climate Issues with CO2-Consuming Algae

As climate change is a rising concern for city officials and all sectors of product innovation, London-based architectural firm ecoLogicStudio debuts a viable environmental solution during the 2018 Climate Innovation Summit in Dublin. The company actually prototypes its idea by covering the main facade of the Printworks building at the Dublin Castle with 16 2 x 7-meter sheets. ecoLogicStudio calls these curtains 'Photo.Synth.Etica' and their composition is quite interesting.

The environmental solution has been previously utilized by the studio as a canopy but with this, the firm aims to bring their idea to a larger scale. Each urban curtain contains living micro-algal cultures that consume carbon dioxide and light. This environmental solution can be easily implemented on building facades to help fight climate change and polution in the urban city.
