The Zome Alloy Abodes Utilize Solar Energy in Residential Spaces

Oscar Tuazon is the creative behind the Zome Alloy art installation designed for the Switzerland edition of Art Basel that focuses on bringing awareness around energy conserving home designs. The project contains a recreation of a wooden dome shell that takes inspiration from Steve Baer's solar powered home of the same shape and design as a way residential spaces could potentially be built in the future to be more ecologically sound.

The abodes are constructed entirely out of wood without the addition of embellishments such as furniture, windows or walls. The simplistic frame focuses on emphasizing shape and structure using geometric and curved aesthetics to build much more energy efficent residences. If brought to market, the roofs could easily be fitted with solar panels to harness the sun's energy to power the space.
