Modern Rock Icon Sketches

Robert West Draws Up Elvis Like You've Never Seen Him

If Elvis wasn't already bad ass enough, he is now that illustrator Robert West from the United Kingdom created a modern, badass version of Elvis.

Although simple, the black and white illustration plays with a pop culture icon who was seen as a rebel in his day. West modernizes Elvis' look by drawing him to look as someone we would view as rebellious or dangerous in our day and age.

Thus, Elvis is portrayed with a tear drop tattoo on his face, the knuckle tats and tattoos seemly covering him all over his chest. Elvis was also called the 'King' when he was around and this nickname can be seen stamped on one of his arms.

Like a typical rebel, Elvis also has a smug smirk and the middle fingers popping as he seems to pose for his next mug shot. Love it or hate it, you wouldn't want to be messing with Elvis if he was strolling around today.
