Wallace Sewell Revamps the Elizabeth Line in London

The Elizabeth Line in London is nearing completion and British textile design studio Wallace Sewell was brought in to bring a design-forward sensibility to the new 200-meter-long Crossrail trains. Taking inspiration quite literally from the function of a train, the studio emphasized speed through a playful design that seeks to evoke the notion of speed through a combination of shapes, lines, and color contrasts. The pattern, as well as the palette used to bring this design to life, definitely flirt with some retro sensibilities that have been extensively referenced by contemporary design cultures. As such, the design will definitely suit the tastes of many passengers.

Wallace Sewell states that the fabric for the Elizabeth Line in London is " a progression of the original design on the Liverpool Street to Shenfield line."
