Dreamy Princess Dresses

The Elie Saab Fall 2011 Couture Collection is Light and Airy

The Elie Saab Fall 2011 Couture collection seems to have been made specifically for a fairy princess. Light, airy and whimsical, each frock and gown appears to be made out of fantastical materials such as wisps of clouds instead of fabric and twinkling stars instead of sequins. The line is simply surreal.

Surprisingly enough, the Elie Saab Fall 2011 Couture collection was inspired by something entirely urban--skyscrapers. Of course, it is not so strange an influence when you hear the explanation from stylist Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou, "We wanted to explore the fragility of femininity. These dresses have a diaphanous fairy like feel to them but remain empowering."

I especially like how each dress was presented in a gradientlike pattern during the fashion show.
