Eleven Heavy Things

Performative and live participatory art is on the rise, and the Eleven Heavy Thing exhibit by Miranda July only proves its popularity. The exhibition is a live interactive project which was created by artist, filmmaker and writer Miranda July.

The collection of work consists of 11 different art pieces that resemble large slabs of stone. The 'stone' pieces were created from cast fibreglass, steel-lined pieces and tablets with holes for body parts. The exhibition is hosted by Moca Pacific design center, and it is open to the public. The Pedestals For Guilty Ones feature three pedestals that have 'the guilty one', 'the guiltier one' and 'the guiltiest one' scrawled all over it. However, the most interesting sculpture is perhaps the Pedestal For Strangers, where any two people can climb on top together.Photo Credits: design-milk, designboom
