Upcycled Eco-Friendly Denim

This Fast Fashion Retailer is Turning Unwanted Clothes into New Pieces

H&M released a new collection of eco-friendly denim called 'Close The Loop.' Following in the footsteps of many other retailers, H&M's new line demonstrates a commitment to making fashion a more sustainable industry.

The new eco-friendly denim line is primarily made from organic cotton from H&M's Garment Collecting program. The program takes recycled textiles and turns the old material into stylish new garments. The idea is to create a closed loop for H&M's textiles by ensuring that old materials are put to new use. In turn, this process reduces waste and limits the environmental impact of the fashion industry. H&M’s CEO Karl-Johan Persson further explains that a closed loop for textiles will "also significantly reduce the need for virgin resources as well as other impacts fashion has on our planet."

The new denim collection features clothing for men, women and children, meaning everyone can enjoy the eco-friendly fashions.
