Easy Latrine is a 2010 IDEA Awards Best in Show Winner

One of three designs to win "Best In Show" at the 2010 International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA Awards), the Easy Latrine uses simple methods and materials to solve a problem that plagues much of the world: the lack of hygienic toilet facilities.

The Easy Latrine is designed to be a simple sanitation system that can be inexpensively made from locally sourced materials. International Development Enterprises' Easy Latrine project was backed by USAID and the World Bank Water and Sanitation Program.
