The Eames Rocking Chair Reinvention Promotes Art Education

Redesigning classic creative mid-century seating can demonstrate how the artistic possibilities have no limit. The Eames Rocking Chair reinvention was undertaken by the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia as an invitation event to five inspired artists.

Taking the molded plastic rocker as a blank canvas, these designers took creative license to paint, cut, paste and yarnbomb each rocker for the purpose of artistic celebration. All submissions from the Eames Rocking Chair reinvention will be raffled off to raise money for children's art education.
