Dynamic Line Desk Embodies the Imagination of a Piece in Progress

Many of the most fascinating creative concepts never progress beyond initial design stages before they're modified. However, the Dynamic Line Desk is meant to be a manifestation to evade this disappointing truth by expressing all of the looseness and whimsicality of an early computer model.

The only level surface appears to be the horizontal tabletop, which quite reasonably is the only element that needs to be aligned particularly. Every other plane and contour of Philip Michael Wolfson’s workstation expresses a playfulness in its refusal to conform to plumb. The supportive plane on one end twists inward at one corner, while the other side embraces an irregularly shaped cabinet and storage slot. Conceived for Wolfson Design, the Dynamic Line Desk makes for a great formal study for how to conserve creativity from idea to object.
