Domestic Pet Meat Ads

These Anti-Dog Meat Ads Shed Light on Thailand's Vulnerable Street Dogs

These striking UniDog ads protest the consumption of dog meat. The streets of Thailand are rampant with street dogs and UniDog is an organization designed to care for these ownerless pets and rescue them from the dog meat industry.

These anti-dog meat ads were created for UniDog by ad agencies BBDO and Proximity, Thailand. The series features dogs with their heads coming out of bowls with a small line of copy that reads: "25 million dogs are killed for food each year."

The images are seen from the perspective of a human looking down on these dogs. The bowl collars that the dogs wear is reminiscent of the protective collars worn after a medical procedure, which creates even more empathy in the viewer because the dogs appear to be so vulnerable.
