Japanese musical instrument manufacturer Roland is now offering a beautiful new DJ controller that comes fitted with a whole slew of electronic goodies that will appeal to DJs who want to do more than simply blend one track into the next.
Dubbed the DJ-808, this particular DJ controller was created as part of a collaboration with Serato, and includes a comprehensive array of drum sounds that can be armed and triggered through touch-sensitive pads. Users can even connect their turntables to the DJ controller, and can use the contraption in conjunction with an XLR-connected microphone for vocal processing.
By placing control in the hands of the user, the DJ-808 controller is designed to make it easier for DJs to translate ideas into sounds.
