This digital newsstand is an old news box which has been retro-fitted with a Mac Mini and a digital screen. It performs a variety of tasks, including display of the latest news and music. The DIY project was created by Scott Walker, the assistant managing editor at the Birmingham News.

Implications - The digital newsstand also has multiple functions including the ability to play slideshows, music and even videos. Just like a desktop computer or laptop, this creation can send emails with attachments, display RSS feeds and even print you out a morning newspaper! Scott Walker has some serious tech skills and could probably make some profit off of this nifty newsstand creation.
