The Dove Self-Esteem Project Debuted the #DetoxYourFeed Campaign

The Dove Self-Esteem Project recently announced the launch of the #DetoxYourFeed campaign. The new initiative was created in response to a recent survey that stated that "1 in 2 girls say toxic beauty advice on social media causes low self-esteem." The new project encourages young women to choose their own beauty standards and unfollow accounts that lower their self-esteem.

By raising awareness about toxic beauty advice through films, educational content, and partnerships with inspiring voices, the campaign aims to encourage important conversations between parents, caregivers, and teens. "We've identified a clear problem that is eroding the self-esteem of our girls and needs immediate attention and action. We created this #DetoxYourFeed campaign to not only raise awareness around the insidious nature of toxic beauty advice, but to also help parents navigate tough conversations and empower teens to unfollow content that makes them feel bad about themselves," says Leandro Barreto, Global Vice President of Dove.

The Dove Self-Esteem Project recently launched a new activation to kick off the campaign that brings to life the everyday experience for young girls online is live until Sunday, May 1 at CF Sherway Gardens.
