Extravagant Desk Weather Stations

MB&F Launches an Ultra-Complex Gadget That Costs $55,000

MB&F collaborates with Swiss watchmaker L’Epée for a curious high tech gadget that is "an intergalactic horological" desk weather station. Dubbed 'The Fifth Element,' the extravagant piece of equipment has the functionality of a clock, a barometer, a hygrometer and a thermometer.

MB&F and L’Epée created the desk weather station out of solid blocks of brass with a three color palette -- silver, black and blue. The design is made to resemble a conceptualization of an alien spaceship. For aesthetic effect, the Fifth Element also has "a tiny model alien named Ross that 'pilots' the ship."

While the desk weather station has a bank-breaking price, the product is extremely limited as each colorway has 18 units.
