Denny's Introduces the New AR Technology for its Redesigned Menus

The restaurant company Denny's has started to use augmented reality (AR) to engage customers who prefer to view their cuisine before they order. This comes after it launched its new brand platform, "It's Diner Time," earlier this month to mark its 70th anniversary.

The company's iOS, Android, and desktop applications will provide the AR functionality, which will be accessible at all Denny's U.S. restaurants countrywide. Moreover, there is the Denny's Rewards loyalty program, which sends members offers through email for perks like discounts and birthday gifts. In an effort to expand Denny's brand recognition in contemporary society, new apparel has also been made available online at the brand's website.

"We anticipate this technology deployment will enable an improved overall guest experience, greater operational excellence, anticipated labor efficiencies, and improve payment experience, and serve as a platform for future innovation," said CEO Kelli Valade.
