Kwickset is a new type of deadbolt locks that uses bluetooth technology. The new technology pairs the special deadbolt locks with your iPhone or smartphone via bluetooth. This allows you to open your doors with your smartphone and a simple touch; now there will be less keys to worry about and coming in and out of your home will be a breeze.
You might think that this type of technology would make it easier for criminals to open your deadbolt locks, this assumption would be wrong. Using Bluetooth 4.0's custom encryption, Kwickset says there is also military-grade encryptions that have been integrated. This means that is would quite literally be easier for burglars to break down the door. This new device from Kwickset will more than likely be seen in many other practical settings other than the home.
