The Danish Cancer Society Asks Parents to Protect Their Kids from the Sun

In an effort to protect the children of Denmark from the harmful rays of the sun, the Danish Cancer Society launched a public service announcement video with a full-child cast. The video takes place in Alcúdia, Mallorca -- a popular sunny holiday destination for Danes -- and features a child speaking into a microphone standing beside a sunburnt friend who is unable to play due to the severe pain his sunburn is causing him.

The commerical highlights the fact that 40% of Danish children are sunburnt on holiday, dramatically increasing their risk of skin cancer in the future. The Danish Cancer Society's PSA asks parents to please look out for the well being of their children through adequate sun protection and care including wearing sunscreens, hats, and spending more time in the shade.
