Water Usage Apps

The Dropcountr App Monitors Daily Water Consumption

Dropcountr is a new mobile app from the Austin Water Utility, developed to help homeowners become more aware of their own daily water consumption. As well as conscious water use having the potential to be of benefit to the community and environment, this also means that Austin Water Utility customers could end up paying less on their monthly bills.

The Dropcounter app challenges its users to make water usage goals and adhere to them. In order to spur on positive changes, the app even makes it possible to see how an individual's water use compares to others on Dropcountr. Other handy features of the app include the ability to get notifications when there are drought restrictions in effect, or when unusual water usage is detected, which could be caused by a leak that a consumer is unaware of.
