Draft Beer Canning Machines

The 'Crowler' is a New System of To-Go Packaging for Draft Beer

The 'Crowler' is a new system that combines the freshness of draft beer with the convenience of enjoying a brew by the can. While this combination seems impossible, the Crowler machine introduces an entirely new way to package beer on tap.

The Crowler system makes it possible for staff at breweries and bars to fill a 32-ounce metal can with liquid from one of their taps and seal the can with a pop top. The system is comparable to what's typically done with growlers, except this offers consumers more convenience in a single-serve ready-to-drink format.

The unique beer-to-go packaging system was developed by Ball Co. and the Oskar Blues Brewery in Colorado. Since it was invented, a number of bars and breweries have been adopting this system; the Local 315 Brewing Co. is one place where the Crowler machine is now operational.
