Imaginative Pretend Play Illustrations

Craig Davidson Helps Us Remember What It’s Like to Be

Artist Craig Davidson has created a series of beautiful illustrations that are sure to stir up memories in adults of their carefree years as children.

Growing up, it’s not uncommon for kids to want to pretend to play as their heroes. You use anything from sticks, to pots and pans, and bed sheets, to recreate the weapons and costumes of your heroes. Though they may be crude, your imagination is able to fill in the gaps. Craig Davidson captures this moment in time beautifully, drawing children pretending to be characters from Star Wars, The Wizard of Oz, Batman, Spider-Man, Charlie’s Angels, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In addition to seeing the kids playing make believe, we also see their imagination silhouetted in the background, making for a truly heart-warming piece.

The only bad thing you can say of this series is its lack of Power Rangers.
