Integrated Modernized Buildings

The Cosmopolitan Twarda in Warsaw Does Not Stick Out

The Cosmopolitan Twarda by JAHN architecture firm blends in well with the surrounding cityscape, which is quite the feat considering it's so modern.

The building is now seen as a landmark, and consists of mostly apartments with a few shopping facilities at the bottom. Those living in the structure will be privileged with expansive views of the area, since the firm organized the facade with floor-to-ceiling windows in each unit. This way no view is obstructed, apart from those on the lower floors with buildings on either side.

When viewed from afar, it's clear that the building does not stand out like many modern pieces of architecture. Careful steps were taken to ensure it looks similar to pre-existing buildings in the area, so as to hold on to the history and heritage of the city. Photo Credits: designboom, jahn-us
