This year Chinese New Year falls on the same day as Super Bowl Sunday and the most overrated ‘holiday’ of the year (Valentine’s Day). To celebrate the Year of the Tiger the brand that brought you the iconic Chuck Taylor’s is introducing the Converse Year of the Tiger Collection.
The Weapon 86 high tops are the first to be released. All the shoes in the Converse Year of the Tiger Collection feature tiger prints and the traditional Chinese colours of fortune and prosperity (red and gold). The Weapon 86s feature a black and gold Tiger graphic on the tongue.
It remains to be seen if the Year of the Tiger Collection by Converse will be available worldwide. At the moment the Weapon 86 high tops are available exclusively in China.
