Scoop-Like Lighting

The Collar Lamp by Jordi Lopez Aguilo Boasts a Rotating Lampshade

The Collar Lamp looks like a piece of sports equipment that has been repurposed into a light fixture. Granted, the scooped lampshade would have been found in an elementary school room rather than a college gym locker. But that doesn't mean the Collar Lamp is at all juvenile. On the contrary, it is sleek, simple and sophisticated.

Designed by Jordi López Aguiló for Danish manufacturer Nordic Tales, the Collar Lamp beautifully blends simple Scandinavian design with Spanish elegance. Comprised of three parts, the base is carved out of wood while the lampshade is formed out of powder coated metal. The latter can be rotated around in order to shed light in any direction. It is available as a table and wall lamp.
