Aldi Launches the First-Of-Its-Kind Coffee-Glazed Bacon Strips

German-owned supermarket chain Aldi has launched Coffee Flavoured Bacon, the first coffee-glazed bacon strips to ever hit grocery stores shelves.

The new product blends two iconic breakfast staples, bacon and coffee, to offer consumers a truly unique flavor experience. In order to create the bacon, Aldi cured it in ground coffee for over 24 hours. As a result, the company describes the product as delivering a "syrupy, caramel-like bite" with the "aromatic taste of coffee beans" and a slightly sweet aftertaste.

Unlike anything available at other major supermarkets, there's no doubt that Aldi's Coffee Flavoured Bacon has a novel -- if not gag gift-worthy -- appeal. The new product will retail for £1.79 a pack, making it slightly pricier than Aldi's other bacon options.
