Located near Honduras is the Rio Coco coffee cafe offering an eatery that gives back to the people with a non-profit business model. The care is run through volunteer help with all the profits are turned over to local schools throughout Nicaragua.
Unlike traditional coffee chains, the Rico Coco Cafe is based off of volunteer support that keeps the eatery up and running. The cafe offers a tropical atmosphere with coffees and drinks served in Mason jars along with board games, sweet treats and even themed nights for amusement. Thanks to their pay-free help, the cafe is able to collect the proceeds and send them through owner Michael Bagby's non-profit organization known as Seek the Lamb to various schools in need throughout the area. The donations help funnel funds back into the community's education system.
