Krebs Recycle makes rugged, tough and colorful dog leashes from pre-consumer rope cutoffs and post-consumer upcycled nylon climbing rope. The climbing rope leashes are eco-friendly in that the rope doesn’t have to be reprocessed using a carbon-intensive process and using pre-consumer manufacturing waste keeps it out of the landfill.
The Seattle, Washington-area company is family owned. It collects and cleans ropes gathered from gyms, rope manufacturers and guide services, then cuts them to length to be sewn into climbing rope leashes: their 6-foot "Reggie," 4-foot "Ruby" or 2-foot "Heeler" leashes.
