Chappell Brings Awareness to Environmental Issues With Circuit Board Bug Art

UK-based artist Julie Alice Chappell has been creating circuit board bug art through her company DewLeaf which she founded in 2014. Chappell's creations are highly detailed -- the attention to their natural shape pairing with the technological look of the circuit boards to create an interesting and futuristic design.

Chappell's collection ships worldwide and each product is handmade. The 'Circuit Board Insects' come in a large variety, from the 'The Golden Nectar Fly' to the 'Giant Golden Spotted Cockroach.' Some designs take on a more simple and masculine look and others are adorned with jewels and rhinestones.

Chappell aims to bring awareness to environmental issues with her art, explaining that "It is my hope that my Upcycled Insect Artworks helps to raise awareness of e-waste in the natural environment."
