This Chipotle Restaurant Design Harnesses Wind & Solar Power

There's a new all-electric Chipotle restaurant design with a focus on sustainable features. This new Chipotle concept is called "responsible restaurant design," and it incorporates all-electric equipment, rooftop solar panels (where possible) as well as cactus leather chairs, biodegradable cutlery, straws, bowls, cups and lids. At select locations, there will also be electric vehicle charging stations.

This new Chipotle restaurant design recently opened in Gloucester, Virginia., and Jacksonville, Florida, and a new location is set to be opened this summer in Castle Rock, Colorado. Laurie Schalow, chief corporate affairs officer at Chipotle, says "We are aiming to incorporate some elements of our responsible restaurant design into many of our new restaurant openings going forward."
