Demure 90s Girl Collections

We're Going Back to the 90s with This Chanel Spring 2014 Couture Show

Designer Karl Lagerfeld finds a chicer way to re-do the recent 90s obsession with this stunningly nostalgic Chanel Spring 2014 Couture show.

The classic Chanel suit is remade in a way that makes it look like something a totally radical skater chick in 1995 would rock while catching major air and jamming to her Sony Walkman. To give the implication of a crop top, the suit jacket has been hemmed high above the midriff.

One of the biggest tells as to what the inspiration was is in the styling of the models. In this Chanel Spring 2014 Couture collection show, the hair is pushed down on top of the head and pushed out like a mane at the back. Aside from the hair, the silver metallic fanny packs and white sneakers are a dead giveaway.
