Close-Talking PSAs

Unintentionally Funny Cellucom Ads Violate Personal Space

This new driving safety campaign from Cellucom, UAE aims to emphasize that while driving, you need to concentrate on the road, not your conversation.

The ads, which were created by Memac Ogilvy & Mather, Dubai, show the person you are talking to on the phone physically sitting on your lap in the car seat, in order to drive the point home.

But while I think the message is important and the idea is pretty solid, having the male friend or business contact sitting on the lap of the guy in such a close and intimate pose is rather distracting and funny, especially with the facial expressions of the ‘friends’ in the first image.
