Cat-Themed Advertising Replacements

This Animal Charity Replaced Subway Ads with Cat Pictures

If the Internet is proof of anything, it's that cat pictures are fantastic and so the Citizens Advertising Takeover service, or CATs, has crowdfunded a cat-themed advertising campaign to help increase adoptions at its cat rescue centers in London. The group's Kickstarter campaign received enough money to successfully cover every ad space in the London Underground's Clapham Common Station with pictures of cats.

Though the campaign claims that its cat-themed advertising removes all ads from the subway station, this is not strictly true. The entirety of Clapham Common will indeed be covered with CATs' cat pictures, but those pictures are a type of advertising in and of themselves -- albeit a noble one. While the CATs ads aren't trying to sell a product, their goal is to find homes for the thousands of unwanted cats throughout London.
