Architectural Animal Housing

The Initiative Asks Architects to Donate Creative Cat Shelter Designs

While some organizations are simply focused on giving felines a home and offering cat shelter solutions, some high end architectural firms want to ensure these homeless kitties have designer digs.

Architects for Animals is of similar aims, recently holding events in New York City and Los Angeles where it revealed innovative pet housing designs. The awareness-raising initiative asks architects to participate by designing, building and donating a cat shelter. Not only are needy felines helped, but in the process designers also get to showcase their own creativity.

At a recent event put on by Architects for Animals benefiting FixNation, cat-loving architect firms got involved including Standard Architecture | Design, DSH Architecture and Abramson Teiger Architects.
