Montreal is Hosting Its First-Ever Festival for Cats and Their Owners

The city of Montreal is hosting its first-ever cat festival.

Billed as a 100% cat event, the cat festival will feature cat artisans selling wares like cat cell phone cases, cat pillows and cat cups. There will also be cat photographers on-site, so that human/feline duos can get plenty of pictures taken of their cat festival adventures. The event is titled 'Chatlon des artistochats,' which is a pun on the word "chat," French for cat, but essentially means 'Artistocat salon.' Admission to the historic cat festival is free.

As disposable wealth increases and the taste for healthy, conscientious lifestyle choices become more prevalent, this spills over into the choices people make for their furry friends. Artisan products, healthy and gourmet nutritious options and social media shareable events aren't just for people anymore.
