Volcanic Lava Candles

The 'Cascadia Candles' are Molded in the Shape of Real Mountains

Many of the mountains in the Pacific northwest are volcanic, and the Cascadia Candles directly reference those geological titans. The candles are made out of yellow beeswax and fit into a black base, giving the completed pieces the exact look of various mountains in the northwestern region of the US once assembled.

There are currently two mountain replicas in the Cascadia Candles series: Mount Saint Helens and Mount Ranier. The idea behind the candles is that, when lit, the yellow wax will begin to drip down the side of the black base. Ultimately, the effect will be like lava flowing down the side of a volcano during an eruption.

The base of the Cascadia Candles can be reused, and consumers can purchase replacement wicks and candles separately through the Touch of Modern website.
