The RV1 Chair is a Carbon Fiber Design That Mimics Space Age Decor

This chair was created using a single long piece of carbon that was folded and twisted into this futuristic carbon fiber design. The shape of it is incredibly unique and features a glossy black and natural carbon finish. In addition, the chair is actually reversible containing two possible seating positions. The user must simply flip the light-weight chair upside down to see the alternate look.

British designer Kris Lamba was inspired by wind tunnels he once saw being created by jet streams. Lamba states that his seating concept is the "world's first one-piece multi-position chair."

The benefits to a carbon fiber design are plentiful -- known for lightweight functionality that is paired with durability -- and it is no wonder that furniture, decor and automobile industries are utilizing carbon more and more.
