Candied Caramel Shakes

McDonald's Japan is Selling Sweet Drinks in Partnership with Morinaga

In anticipation of the arrival of the fall season, McDonald's is teaming up with Japanese confectionery company Morinaga to create a limited-edition caramel shake, which is inspired by Morinaga's iconic milk caramel candy.

In an advertisement released by McDonald's Japan, two executives argue over calling the drink either the Morinaga Milk Caramel Shake or the McShake Morinaga Flavor.

Either way consumers choose to order it, McDonald's is tempting consumers with a number of different ways to order the sweet drink. For a discount, consumers may bring in a box of Morinaga Milk Caramels and on the first three days that the new drink is on the menu, consumers will be treated to a sample of the iconic candy in order to see how it compares to the liquid shake.
