Burning Candy

These days graffiti stays up for a day or two before the local authorities wash everything down. So hallelujah for the urban troopers who persist, and for the ones who snap away to eternalize great street art like this captured around East London.

I love this pink gum and skull vibe. Burning Candy is a group of street artists that includes Sweet Toof, Cyclops and Tek 33. Also featured above are artist Rowdy, Gold Peg and Mighty Mo.

The crew has recently joined forces for the Burning Candy show in honor of the launch of Sartorial Gallery's new location in and around Kings Cross in central London.

Is this vandalism or great cutting-edge public artwork? To me, clearly the latter.
