McDonald’s Japan is Giving Away Free Meals to People with Certain Names

To advertise a new line of affordable hamburgers, McDonald’s Japan unveiled a special burger promotion for people with certain specific names.

A new line of 'Otegoro Mac,' or "affordable McDonald's, is set to be released this October. As part of the burger promotion, each sandwich has been given a special nick name that ties into its ingredients. The special release includes an egg cheeseburger, barbecue pork burger and a ham lettuce burger nicknamed the 'Eguchi,' 'Babepo' and the 'Hamutasu.'

On October 25th from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. McDonald’s Japan will actually give away free burgers. The special catch however is you will have to share the same name as one of the new burgers being served. Naturally, this will weed out most if not all of the Japanese population, but perhaps for a lucky few, they'll be able to dine free of charge thanks to this unusual giveaway.
