According to artist Bradley Hart, bubble wrap has more purposes than just merrily popping it until the cows come home. Aside from being able to protect shipped goods, Hart found a pretty amazing use for the poppable sheets.
Bradley Hart is an artist who instead of painting on a canvas, he injects paint into bubble wrap, one bubble at a time. The results are some pretty compelling portraits that have an interesting pixelated quality to them, which can be seen in its full glory in a portrait of the late Apple CEO, Steve Jobs. He also creates smeared secondary versions of some of his art when he has leftover paint from the original productions. Hart's 'Injections' gallery will be on display in New York City at Gallery Nine5 until the end of March 2013.
