The Bothy Project Provides Refuge for Those Seeking Inspiration

Placed within the pristine landscapes of the Scotish Highlands, the Bothy Project offers refuge for anyone who is lacking or seeking inspiration.

Created as a network of small off-grid shelters, each cabin is modeled after a traditional mountain cabin -- executed in a modern fashion with a living area, loft bedroom, small kitchenette, an outdoor patio and large windows. The idea was conceived by a group of artists, architects and designers, each one completely immersed in the wilderness to optimize forward-thinking and creativity.

The Bothy Project network currently is made of three different units that are based on the edge of Croft Island, the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and on the banks of River Spey.
