BMW has completed its two-year-long project to bring electric car charging stations to national parks in the United States. The company entered into partnerships with the National Park Foundation, the National Park Services as well as the Department of Energy to bring 100 electric car charging stations to national parks. Currently, 90 of the stations are already in use, and the remaining 10 stations are scheduled to open this month.
The charging stations will have Level 2 as well as DC fast chargers. The fast chargers allow those with electric cars to venture to national parks and ensures that there is a place for EVs to charge. The stations are located in the Everglades, Grand Canyon, which are two of the most popular parks. As well as other locations including Death Valley and other locations.
