Illuminated Cycling Stunts

The Black Light Bikes Video is a Collaboration with Red Bull

Presented in collaboration with Red Bull Photography, the Black Light Bikes video is conceived by Brazilian artist Marcelo Maragni. The photographer captures freestyle cyclists at night and brings his illuminated vision to life with the help of some imagination and lots of glow-in-the-dark paint.

What may have resembled a regular forest spot during the day transforms into a psychedelic dreamscape. The final product of Black Light Bikes is a florescent clip that features illuminated bikes and a painted landscape.

This video is not only visually striking but is also an homage to freestyle cycling, a popular sport that requires physical endurance, talent and imagination. Equipped with glowing helmets, the freestylers in this video can be compared to dancers who move with fluidity and grace.
