Shipping Container E-Bike Shops

'Quikbyke' is an Electronic Bike Rental Shop Run Out of a Box

Around the world there are countless bike rental shops, but none of them are quite like Quikbyke, which operates out of Omaha, Nebraska and soon St. Petersburg, Florida. The e-bike rental shop operates out of a 20-foot shipping container and appeals to tourists, especially Baby Boomers, who are seeking an alternative to taking a bus, taxi or another means of affordable transport.

The small shipping container space is equipped with its own rooftop solar system and a battery bank to charge the electric bikes, as well as supply electricity to the systems that require power within the retail space such as the LED lights, POS station and the wireless network.

Now more than ever, businesses are adopting the shop-in-a-box model as a means of embracing mobile, sustainable and self-contained operations.
